Does HandyNation = NationBuilder?
No, we are not NationBuilder ourselves. Instead, we are a certified NationBuilder agency dedicated to developing apps and tools for NationBuilder customers. Currently, we act as a third-party type of paid service provider for your NationBuilder account.
Are you Secure?
Yes, as reliability and security form the base of our products, we take security seriously. We encrypt the data between NationBuilder and our app via SSL, and your data remains only in NationBuilder.
Do you store NationBuilder data?
No, we do not store any NationBuilder data. We simply exchange data between NationBuilder and your device through the API. We only store what you fill during the registration on our website.
What are the technical requirements for HandyNation?
You only need admin access to your NationBuilder account and your Android or iPhone device. Nothing more!
What is "People" and how is it calculated?
We refer to “people” as a complete database of users which you can see under NationBuilder’s people section. We calculate people based on what is returned from NationBuilder via the API.
How does the free trial work? Do I need to add credit card details to try it out?
The free trial allows you to access all the features for 14 days without asking for credit card details. Before 2 days of the subscription expiry date, you will start receiving reminder emails about continuing with the paid plan. If you are interested in a paid plan, then only you will be asked for payment details. In the free trial, we don’t ask for payment details, so it is totally safe to give it a try.
Can multiple team members use this app? Does it cost extra?
It does not cost you extra for multiple team members. You can have unlimited team members who can use this app.
Do we have any annual plan?
Yes, you can select the annual plan from the top to opt for annual plan.
What are the payment methods?
We use the Stripe payment gateway and support all major credit cards. For the enterprise accounts, we are open to different payment methods like Wise.com and Bank transfer.
Does the app support Tablets/iPad?
The HandyNation app utilizes a fluid layout designed to adapt to various devices. While it functions well on tablets and iPads, please note that it is not specifically optimized for these devices. You may notice some differences in the user experience, but all functionalities should work properly.
Does your pricing depend on a full user database or users which are contactable?
Our pricing is dependent on the full database of users which you see in the NationBuilder dashboard area.
How upgrade/downgrade works?
You may need to upgrade your account in two scenarios: 1). Exceeding User Database Limit: When your user database surpasses the allowed limit. 2). Opting for Add-On Services: When you wish to enable or disable add-on services, such as Canvassing. Upon upgrading, you will be charged the full amount of the new plan, and a new billing cycle will commence from the date of the upgrade.
How will billing be calculated if the people database gets increased in the mid of the subscription cycle?
If your nation’s people database exceeds the current limit before the next billing cycle, you will receive a "People Exhausted!" notification in the app. You will need to upgrade your membership. You will be charged the full amount for the upgraded plan, and the new billing cycle will start immediately. Any remaining balance from your previous subscription will be refunded to your credit card upon request. For example, if your current plan costs $59 and increases to $69 due to a higher user database, the remaining days of the $59 plan will be refunded manually. I’m not able to see the notes I’ve added in the “Log contact”.
You are able to add the private note through HN app, but this is not accessible within our app due to limitations of the NationBuilder's API. You can check this only on your NationBuilder's control panel at the activity tab of that person’s profile.
Does NationBuilder's permission set work with your app?
No, NationBuilder's permission set is not working with our app as the permission set is limited to NationBuilder's Website only and is not exposed through the API.
What languages does your app support?
We support English, Spanish, French and 1 custom language where you can personalize the text any any language you want.
I’m not able to see some of the user records in the canvassing list I’ve created through the app.
For users to locate on Map, we require their exact address details. So if the user address details are not accurate or blank, such users will not be counted in the canvassing list. In such cases, please edit the address of that user with more accurate details.
Can I register with multiple nations using the same email id?
You are not able to register with multiple Nations using the same email id. Use a different email id to register a new Nation.
Is extension in the trial period possible?
Yes, In certain cases, we help customers to extend the trial period.
Does the app work offline?
No, it is not. We are working on this feature and planning to deploy this feature soon. We do not have any timeline defined yet. You will be updated when we launch it.
Does User logs display the same user activity as the NationBuilder user profile?
User logs in the HandyNation app are different from the NationBuilder activity. Our app only shows "contacts" logs for that user.
Can I process donations through the app?
You can’t process the donations through our app. The app only shows the donors list or allows you to record new donations manually. If you want to implement real time donation through app, we can customize our stock app and create new instance of app which works for you only.
How does the permission set work for the HandyNation app?
The Permission set for the HandyNation app is different from the Permission set in the NationBuilder control panel. To configure the permissions for the HandyNation app you should go to our website https://www.www.handynationapp.com and login with your details. Whereas NationBuilder permission set is limited to NationBuilder control panel only. NationBuilder does not expose these controls through API and hence we are not able to inherit these permission sets. HandyNation app permission sets are limited to the HandyNation app only.
