Add user #
To add new user, when you land on default people screen of the app, you will find a icon in the bottom right screen as per snap below.
Click on it and you will get the form as per snap below:
Add your first name, middle name, last name and select birthdate.
Select if the user you are adding is having user type as user or organization and then select gender for the user.
Add mobile no and email id of the user and click save button. This will add the user to NationBuilder.
You can add other details of this user from user’s profile screen. This is explained in the edit user section.
Edit user #
To edit specific user, go to his/her profile and click on the edit icon on top right corner as per snap below.
On click of this icon, you will land to user edit form same as the add user form. Fill the details and save the form.
To edit different sections of user profile follow the instructions below:
Personal Tab #
- View only sections: Here find the sections which are view only and can not be updated.
- Point person & Recruited by: To edit the point person or recruited by person, simply click on
edit icon just after the name as per snap below:
You will see the popup screen with list of users. You can search the list to find desired user from this list.
Select the specific user and you are done! - Support section: Here you can manage the support level, support priority level, volunteer status and do not contact status.
Volunteer status and do not contact are radio button which can be selected easily. To change support level and priority level, click on edit icon as per snap below:
and you will see the screen as below:
select appropriate value and hit save button. - Employer section: To edit employer related details click on edit icon as per snap below:
and you will see the form like snap below.
Fill the employer details and hit the save button. - Profile bio: To edit user’s bio and headline, click on edit icon as per snap below:
and you will see the screen as below:
Hit save button and you are done. - Notes : To edit the notes for user, click on edit icon as per snap below:
and you will see popup like this:
and hit save button to save this detail. - Family and religious details: To edit this details, click on edit icon as per below snap:
and you will see the popup form like this: - Email: To edit emails, click on edit icon as per below snap:
and you will see the form as per snap below:
Add the email details to different email fields. You can select specific email as primary email or you can mark as bad email as well. Hit save and you are done. - Phone/Mobile: To edit Phone related information, you should click on edit icon as per snap below:
and you will see the form as per below snap:
Fill the appropriate information and hit the save button. You can mark as bad number for the mobile number field. - Addresses: To edit the address information, you should click on edit button as per snap below:
and click on edit icon of specific address you want to edit. On click of this icon you will get form like below:
You can directly fill the address form or you can search the address from the top search bar to auto populate the address details through Google places API as per snap below:
Select appropriate address from the dropdown, this will auto fill the appropriate address fields in the form and then hit save buttons.
Political Tab #
- View only sections : Find view only sections in the Political tab.

You can see edit the voting related details of a user as per snap below: - Ballots : Coming soon…
- District section
To edit the various district details of a user, click on edit icon of above section and you will get the form like below:
NOTE : Here you can not edit the Federal District, State Upper District & State Lower District. You can only see their values. - Membership section
You can edit individual membership details by clicking on the edit icon in front of membership name as well as you can add new membership from the + icon as per snap below: - Other important fields : To check and edit the different third party platform unique id click on edit icon of section as per snap below:

Activities Tab #
This is read only tab where you can see the various types of user activities for this user.
- Contacts Activities
This will list out all the logged contacts for this user. - Survey responses
This will list out all the survey responses for this user. - Donations (Coming soon)
- Event RSVPs (Coming soon)
Path Tab #
- You can only see the path the user is currently on.
Batch operations #
With HandyNation app you can perform certain batch operations. To activate batch operation, just long touch on any user profile and you will see the checkbox for each user profile to select as per snap below:
Select the users you want to perform batch operations on and select the action from top right navigation as per snap below:
You can perform below operations in batch:
- Add selected users to NationBuilder list : In this option you will get the list to select in which you want all selected users to add in.
- Add selected users to Canvassing list : In this option you will get the canvasing list to select in which you want all selected users to add in.
- Log contact for selected users : This option will do the mass contact logging for selected users.
- RSVP selected users for specific event : This option will give list of events to select for which you want to RSVP all the selected users.
- Add tags for selected users : This option will provide you box to add tag to all selected users.
- Delete all selected users : This option will give you ability to delete all the selected users.
